The Fureys Return to Bandon for Bailiú na Banndan Festival – A Night of Irish Musical Magic

We are thrilled to announce that The Fureys, one of Ireland’s most legendary and influential folk and traditional bands, are making their long-awaited return to Bandon, Co. Cork as part of this year’s Bailiú na Bandon festival!

Taking to the stage at the Bandon GAA Complex on Sunday, July 13th, The Fureys are set to deliver an unforgettable evening steeped in the very best of Irish music, storytelling, and soul. For anyone who was lucky enough to witness their sold-out performance at the Marvel Marquee pre-COVID, you’ll know just how special this return is—not just for the fans, but for the town itself.

From heartfelt ballads like “I Will Love You”, “When You Were Sweet 16”, and “The Old Man”, to stirring anthems like “Red Rose Café”, “Leaving Nancy” and “The Green Fields of France”, The Fureys’ songs are more than music—they are the soundtrack to generations of Irish life, love, and memory.

With a career spanning over 48 years, brothers Eddie and George Furey have gathered a treasure trove of stories, songs, and memories that continue to resonate with audiences around the world. Their musical legacy is only matched by their warmth on stage and their deep connection with their audiences.

We are immensely proud to welcome The Fureys back to Bandon, and honoured to have them headline our beloved Bailiú na Banndan festival. This gig promises to be one of the highlights of the summer—a celebration of traditional Irish music, community spirit, and timeless storytelling.
